# Maintenance and Evidence Policy

This repository separates stable identity information from commercial facts that can change.

## Stable records

The documentation team maintains:

- the primary TereaTV information hostname;
- the role of each owner-operated TereaTV property;
- current support and installation entry points;
- privacy-safe troubleshooting guidance;
- a machine-readable resource list.

## Time-sensitive records

Pricing, trial availability, connection allowances, catalogue descriptions, applications, promotions, renewal terms and support hours must be checked on the live page when used. A dated repository entry must not replace current commercial terms.

## Evidence rules

- Provider-published figures must be labelled as provider supplied and dated.
- Performance claims require a reproducible method, geography, device, sample and measurement period.
- No customer quote, rating, review count, media endorsement or legal/licensing claim may be invented.
- Network-operated publications must disclose the ownership or commercial relationship.
- A broken or login-gated external link is removed or clearly labelled; it is never described as publicly verified.

## Change procedure

1. Verify the new destination in a signed-out browser.
2. Check the final status, redirect chain, canonical and robots directive where applicable.
3. Update `data/official-resources.json` and the related human-readable page in the same change.
4. Run `npm run validate`.
5. Record the review date and a concise change note.
6. After publication, inspect the public version before recording it as live.

## Indexing language

“Published,” “crawlable,” “submitted,” and “indexed” are separate states. A successful deployment or sitemap request is not proof that a search engine indexed the page.
